RESOLUTION NO.: 2018-003
ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY OF PUBLIC STREETS
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Berlin, Alabama, has convened a regular meeting at 7:00 PM on the 17th day of September, 2018;
AND WHEREAS, the Town of Berlin was incorporated under section 11-41-1 of the Code of Alabama on the 3rd day of May, 2018;
AND WHEREAS, Section 11-41-1 of the Code of Alabama requires that any municipality incorporated under the procedures set out in this section shall assume responsability to control, manage, supervise, regulate, repair, maintain, and improve all public streets or parts thereof lying within the incorporated limits no later than 24 months after the incorporation is finalized;
BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Berlin, in the State of Alabama, that the Town of Berlin shall assume such responsibility for the public streets or parts thereof within the incorporated limits on the 1st day of May, 2020.
