Regular Meeting
- Meeting called to order by Mayor Bates on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 7:03 P.M.
- Roll call by Clerk Keirstyn Maxwell. All Council members present.
- Mayor asked for any public comments, there were none.
- Approval of minutes from May 4, 2020 Special Meeting. Motion to approve by Donald Gunter, second by Bruce Bentley. Approved 6-0.
- Approval of May invoices & payroll. Motion by Jimbo Quick, second by Bud Reed. Approved 6-0.
- Council confirmed Town Hall building has been placed and gravel has been delivered.
- Mayor Bates asked permission to hire D1 Electric to install meter and breakers in the amount of $625 for Farmers Market and $1,000 for Town Hall. Motion by Donald Gunter, second by Don Bates. Approved 6-0.
- Farmers Market opening date will be delayed until next council meeting.
- Council discussed accepting SNAP at Farmers Market, tabled until next meeting.
- Mayor Bates presented council with quotes for portable toilets for Farmers Market. Council approved purchase from ABI Porta Potty in the amount of $100/month. Motion to approve by Jimbo Quick, second by Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Mayor Bates presented ORDINANCE NO.:2020-003 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES.
- Mayor Bates asked permission to suspend rules and vote immediately. Motion by Bud Reed, second by Bruce Bentley.
- Mayor Bates asked for Roll Call Vote: Mayor Bates-Yes, Donald Gunter-Yes, Jimbo Quick-Yes, Bruce Bentley-Yes, Don Bates-Yes, Bud Reed-Yes. Approved 6-0
- Motion to approve ORDINANCE NO.:2020-003 AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES. Motion to approve by Donald Gunter, second by Jimbo Quick.
- Mayor asked for Roll Call Vote: Mayor Bates-Yes, Donald Gunter-Yes, Jimbo Quick-Yes, Bruce Bentley-Yes, Don Bates-Yes, Bud Reed-Yes. Approved 6-0.
- Motion to adjourn by Donald Gunter, second by Jimbo Quick. Passed 6-0.
- Adjourned at 7:41 PM.
- The next meeting of the Berlin Town Council will be June 1, 2020 at the Berlin Community Center.
