RESOLUTION NO.: 2019-002
AUTHORIZATION FOR PURCHASE OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Berlin, Alabama, has convened a regular meeting at 7:00 PM on the 20th day of May, 2019;
AND WHEREAS, the Council’s offer of $205,000.00 to purchase property owned by HBLM Properties, LLC has been accepted;
BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized:
1. To make down payment in the amount of $100,000.00.
2. To enter the Town into a general obligation bond agreement with Citizens Bank & Trust in the amount of $105,000.00 for the remainder of the purchase price, contingent on approval of related ordinance.
3. To pay closing costs related to the purchase of the property in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.
4. To retain Conn Surveyors to locate boundaries of the property in an amount not to exceed $1,000.00.
