A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A COMMUNITY STORM SHELTER WITH AQUA MARINE ENTERPRISES, INC.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town of Berlin, Alabama as follows:
WHEREAS, the Town of Berlin entered into a contract with Aqua Marine Enterprises,
Inc. for the construction of a community storm shelter by Resolution No. 2023-005 at a cost of
One Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Five Hundred ($123,500.00) and NO/100 Dollars; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Berlin, has requested that a change order be made for the bid of
the community storm shelter; and
WHEREAS, this change order #1 reflects an additional cost of Twelve Thousand Three
Hundred Fifty ($12,350.00) and NO/100 Dollars for the installation of a plumbed bathroom; and
WHEREAS, this is a change of relatively minor terms not contemplated when the plans
and specifications were prepared, and the project was bid, and which are in the public interest and do not exceed Ten (10%) percent of the original contract sum.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town of Berlin that the Mayor and in
such capacity is hereby authorized and directed to execute change order #1 for this project in the
amount of Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Fifty ($12,350.00) and NO/100 Dollars, for the
reasons stated above, by and as an act for and on behalf of the Town of Berlin.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this change order shall be properly documented pursuant to all applicable contract documents.
