MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF BERLIN, ALABAMA
HELD MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2024
The Town Council of the Town of Berlin met in Regular Session on this date and time following publication and posting pursuant to Alabama law.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Patrick Bates on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at the Berlin Town Hall.
Invocation – Councilman Donald Gunter.
Pledge of Allegiance – Mayor Patrick Bates.

Public Comments – Mayor Patrick Bates asked for public comments. Emily Niezer Johnston informed Council and residents about her campaign for Circuit Judge Place # 2.
Councilman Tony Duke made motion to approve Minutes from December 18, 2023, Regular Meeting. Second made by Councilman Keith Hardman. Approved 6-0.
Town Clerk Keirstyn Montgomery gave Annual Rebuild Alabama Report:

FY2023 REBUILD ALABAMA FUNDS RECEIVED: $18,540.37
PROJECT DETAILS: RESURFACING OF COUNTY ROAD 1600.
FUNDING SUMMARY:
Rebuild Alabama Funds: $18,253.45
Road Funds & General Fund: $28,377.92
Status of Completion: 100%
TOTAL PROJECT COST: $46,631.37
Mayor Patrick Bates gave update on Community Storm Shelter and Park & Recreation.
Council discussed County Roads 1612 and 1614.
Mayor Patrick Bates presented draft layout design from St. John & Associates for public park and farmers market complex.
Motion to adjourn made by Councilman Donald Gunter. Second made by Councilman Keith Hardman. Approved 6-0.
The Town Council of the Town of Berlin adjourned at 7:27 PM.
The next Regular Meeting of the Berlin Town Council will be February 19, 2024, held at the Berlin Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
