MINUTES OF THE BERLIN TOWN COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2026 – 7:00 P.M.
Berlin Town Hall
The Town Council of the Town of Berlin met in Regular Session on this date and time following publication and posting pursuant to Alabama law.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Patrick Bates on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 7:01p.m. at the Berlin Town Hall.
Invocation – Councilman Donald Gunter.
Pledge of Allegiance – Mayor Patrick Bates.

Council Member Place # 5 – Keith Hardman – Present
Public Comments – There were none.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve the Minutes from the February 16, 2026, Regular meeting and March 02, 2026, Special meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve RESOLUTION # 2026-002 BUSH HOGGING & MOWING OF TOWN PROPERTY. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- Council discussed Rebuild Alabama and paving projects.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve Cullman Electric Cooperative Christmas Lighting Procedures and approved Mayor Bates purchasing lighting from Dixie Decorations in an amount not to exceed $10,000. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- Council discussed Berlin Farmers Market. Berlin Farmers Market will be open on Saturdays from June 06, 2026 – October 31, 2026, for the hours of 9am-2pm.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- The Town Council of the Town of Berlin adjourned at 7:43PM.
The next Regular Meeting of the Berlin Town Council will be held April 20, 2026, at the Berlin Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
