TO AMEND SCHEDULE F OF ORDINANCE 2002–005 PERTAINING TO BUSINESS LICENSES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF BERLIN, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Schedule F of Ordinance 2002 – 005 is amended to read as follows:

SCHEDULE   F

FAIRS, CIRCUSES, CARNIVALS, AND OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS

$1,000.00 per week or part-week of operation

Provided, however, that qualified tax-exempt, nonprofit corporations; public entities; or civic, educational, or charitable organizations, holding a certificate issued by the Internal Revenue Service under Internal Revenue Code section 502(a) as an organization described in section 501(c)(3); which sponsor a carnival, fair, circus, or other special event shall be subject only to a license tax of $100.00 per week or part-week of operation, and such license shall provide blanket coverage for any vendor(s) participating with the organization in the event.

SECTION 2. Effective Date

This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication.
