Special Meeting
- Meeting called to order by Mayor Bates on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 7:01 P.M.
- Roll call by Clerk Keirstyn Maxwell. All Council members present.
- Mayor Bates called for any public comments, Mayor gave roads update.
- Approval of minutes from May 18, 2020 meeting. Motion to approve by Donald Gunter, second by Jimbo Quick. Approved 6-0.
- Approval of June invoices. Motion by Jimbo Quick, second by Bud Reed. Approved 6-0.
- Council made motion for Farmers Market to open July 6, 2020. Fees will be ½ price this year due to delayed opening. Motion by Don Bates, second by Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Mayor Bates asked permission to pay Co-Op construction charges of $125. Motion by Jimbo Quick, second by Bruce Bentley. Approved 6-0.
- Mayor Bates presented council with quotes to clean trees and brush from US 278 and CR 747.
- Council made motion to hire Burke’s Tree Service in the amount of $1,250.00 to clean trees and brush at US 278 and CR 747. Motion by Donald Gunter, second by Bud Reed. Approved 6-0.
- Mayor Bates presented quotes to Council for deep cleaning of Town Hall.
- Council made motion to hire Team One Home Improvement in the amount of $75 to deep clean Town Hall. Motion by Jimbo Quick, second by Bruce Bentley. Approved 6-0.
- Council discussed Fire Department Anniversary/Census Event.
- Census event to be on June 20, 2020 from 11 AM- 2 PM. Motion by Jimbo Quick, second by Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Mayor Bates asked permission to change order to Toney Elrod for line from septic to building in the amount of $1,950. Motion by Bruce Bentley, second by Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Mayor presented council with quotes for conduit and supply for Town Hall.
- Council made motion to purchase conduit and supply for Town Hall from Inline Electric in the amount not to exceed $200.00. Motion by Jimbo Quick, second by Bruce Bentley. Approved 6-0.
- Motion to adjourn by Jimbo Quick, second by Bud Reed. Approved 6-0.
- Adjourned at 7:40 PM.
- The next meeting of the Berlin Town Council will be June 15, 2020 at the Berlin Community Center.
