TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF BERLIN, ALABAMA
HELD MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2024
The Town Council of the Town of Berlin meeting Regular Session on this date and time following publication and posting pursuant to Alabama law.
- Meeting called to order by Mayor Patrick Bates on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at the Berlin Town Hall.
- Invocation – Councilman Donald Gunter.
- Pledge of Allegiance – Mayor Patrick Bates.
- Roll Call – Town Clerk Keirstyn Montgomery.

- Public Comments – There were none.
- Councilman James Sanford made motion to approve Minutes from February 19, 2023, Regular Meeting. Second made by Councilman Tony Duke. Approved 6-0.
- Councilman James Sanford made motion to transfer $25,000 from General Fund to increase Capital Funds budget by $25,000 for Community Storm Shelter. Second made by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Councilman James Sanford made motion to enter Executive Session for the reason of possible property purchase and to convene in approximately 5 minutes. Second made by Councilman Tony Duke. Approved 6-0.
- 7:22PM Council entered Executive Session.
- 7:30PM Council ended Executive Session.
- Councilman James Sanford made motion to enter Executive Session for the reason of possible property purchase and to convene in approximately 5 minutes. Councilman Tony Duke excused himself due to possible conflict of interest at 7:30pm. Second made by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- 7:31PM Council entered Executive Session.
- 7:38PM Council ended Executive Session.
- Motion to adjourn made by Councilman James Sanford. Second made by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- The Town Council of the Town of Berlin adjourned at 7:39 PM.
The next Regular Meeting of the Berlin Town Council will be April 15, 2024, held at the Berlin Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
