ORDINANCE NO.: 2025-001
ESTABLISHING THE MONTHLY SALARY OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF BERLIN, ALABAMA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the salary of the Mayor of the Town of Berlin, Alabama, shall be and the same is hereby fixed at the sum of $800 (eight-hundred dollars) per month.
Section 2. That each council member shall be compensated at the sum of $0 (zero dollars) per meeting attended not to exceed $0 (zero dollars) per month.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on the first Monday in November 2025 and shall continue in force and effect until repealed by action of the council.
Section 4. The provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared severable; if any portion of this ordinance shall be held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such ruling shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance.
