The Town Council of the Town of Berlin met in Regular Session on this date and time following publication and posting pursuant to Alabama law.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Patrick Bates on Monday, May 16, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. at the Berlin Town Hall.
Invocation – Councilman Donald Gunter.
Pledge of Allegiance – Mayor Patrick Bates.

Public Comments – There were none.
- Councilman Tony Duke made motion to approve the Minutes from the April 21, 2025, Regular Meeting. Second made by Councilman Keith Hardman. Approved 5-0.
- Mayor Bates confirmed to Council that the Town of Berlin has been selected as a recipient for Rebuild Alabama in the amount of $295,627.25 for resurfacing of Mt. Carmel Drive. Councilman Tony Duke made motion to give permission for Mayor Patrick Bates to begin collaborating with engineer to have Rebuild Alabama bid package out to bid by late summer with a timeline for completion of November 1, 2025 – June 1, 2026. Second made by Councilman Keith Hardman. Approved 5-0.
- Council discussed County Road 1614.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve pipe debris removal on county road 1611. Second made by Councilman Tony Duke. Approved 5-0.
- Mayor Patrick Bates presented amended FY2025 General Fund, Road Fund, & Capital Fund budgets. Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve amended FY2025 General Fund, Road Fund, & Capital Fund budgets. Second made by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- Council discussed Farmers Market site development.
- Motion to adjourn made by Councilman Tony Duke. Second made by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0
- The Town Council of the Town of Berlin adjourned at 7:39 PM.
