The Town Council of the Town of Berlin met in Regular Session on this date and time following publication and posting pursuant to Alabama law.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Patrick Bates on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. at the Berlin Town Hall.
Invocation – Councilman Donald Gunter.

Mayor Patrick Bates opened sealed bids for B2026-001 BUSH HOGGING AND MOWING OF TOWN PROPERTY.

Public Comments – Tim Creel candidate for Cullman County Sheriff addressed council concerning 2026 election.
- Councilman Don Bates made motion to approve change orders for Farmers Market Development project and to approve close out of project. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Councilman Don Bates made motion to approve quote from Rogers Group Inc. for paving of the Berlin farmers Market parking lot in the amount of $92,924 and to revise FY2026 General Fund, Road Fund, and Capital Fund budgets accordingly. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Town Clerk Keirstyn Montgomery informed council that the Town of Berlin has been awarded the 2025 Gold Risk Management Award from Municipal Workers Compensation Fund (MWCF) and Alabama Municipal Insurance Corporation (AMIC).
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve 2026 Berlin Farmers Market Rules & Regulations. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve RESOLUTION NO. 2026-001 – A RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR REBUILD ALABAMA. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made motion to approve the Minutes from the January 19, 2026, Regular Council Meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 6-0.
- Councilman Keith Hardman made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Councilman Donald Gunter. Approved 5-0.
- The Town Council of the Town of Berlin adjourned at 7:48 PM.
The next Regular Meeting of the Berlin Town Council will be held March 16, 2026, at the Berlin Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
